Erika is tireless when it comes to pigeon rescue. The time and effort she puts in for the birds, unpaid is unmatched. She not only puts in the care to save her birds, but answers hundreds of messages a day from strangers all across Canada seeking advice after finding an injured pigeon.

When I found a pigeon with PMV, the rescues wouldn’t take him. She patiently answered my anxious, stressed out messages at all times of day with care and a shockingly impressive knowledge of these abandoned domestic birds.

My family adopted our beautiful pigeon, Winky, from The Pigeon Nest. As new pigeon parent’s, it was very reassuring to have a person as knowledgeable, thorough, and dedicated as Erika to adopt from. Erika spent timing getting to know me and my family situation, and helped match us with the right bird. Not only did she do that, but she also spent time socializing Winky and providing us updates with her progress prior to adoption. Thanks to Erika’s hard work, Winky has settled right in to our home.
